Drop QUARTZ on any audio track and it samples whatever's coming into it — a record, a drum machine, a vocal bus, even system audio from another app. GRAB the last few bars that already went by, or REC live, then slice it, sequence it, and run it through six vintage converter modes modeled on the machines that started it all: EMAX, MIRAGE, S612, SK-1, and SP-1200.

GRAB captures the last 1–16 bars that already played, locked to the beat — so you never miss a take. REC records live: NOW, NEXT BAR, or THRESHOLD
SOURCE samples the track input, the whole computer, one app (YouTube, Spotify, a DAW), or a dropped-in file — four sample banks, each with its own start/end, slices, and level

Sequencer with GATE LOOP (the stutter engine), LOOP LEN, swing, accents, ghost notes, and EZ SEQ for instant patterns — four snapshot slots to store and recall whole phrases
STRETCH keeps pitch and speed independent; MATCH locks the sample to the song's tempo the vintage way (varispeed) or via time-stretch
Drag straight to your DAW as audio (HEARD, CLEAN, or PATTERN) or as a MIDI clip — slices map to notes, accents become velocity
