8 SPRING UNITS · TRUE PARALLEL · 1 QUESTIONABLE METAL OBJECT
SpringBoy
Six springs. One necklace. Zero regrets.
Eight spring units running in true parallel off the same input, and one of them isn't a spring at all. The EML 101 factory tank, three physical lengths of coiled steel (6″ / 12″ / 18″), a Hammond unit that hangs off a NECKLACE and sways when you look at it wrong, a tube-driven Peavey VALVERB, and an AKG BX20 running true stereo torsion lines. Then there's NOT A SPRING — a randomly generated tangle of connected metal that rings when you hit it, because we could, and because somebody had to. KICK slams every tank at once. EZ rerolls the whole panel, links and all, including db-cell's mood that day.
- 8 spring units in true parallel — EML 101, 6″/12″/18″ tanks, Hammond NECKLACE, AKG BX20 true-stereo torsion line, Peavey VALVERB with tube drive, and NOT A SPRING (a randomized ringing metal object)
- Per-unit WET/DRY, DAMPER, and PAN — plus a POWER lamp that releases a tank's CPU the moment it's off
- KICK slams every active tank at once; RNDMZ re-rolls NOT A SPRING's entire physical structure — different piece of metal every press
- Green LINK lamps chain adjacent units in series, by hand — light a run of them and springs feed straight into springs
- Master BBD short delay with FEEDBACK, BLOOM, WIDTH, MIX, OUTPUT — regeneration blooms in echo-spaced passes through the whole engine
- The db-cell BULB rides the wet bus directly and chaos-warbles every tank at once — click it to re-roll db-cell's recipe
- Full MIDI-learn on nearly everything: right-click any wet, damper, pan, link, or lamp to arm it
