PHYSICALLY MODELLED ELECTRIC PIANO
SMOKE-EP
The dirty Rhodes and Wurlitzer sounds of your dreams.
Four electric pianos — Rhodes Mark I Stage 73, Wurlitzer 200A, Hohner Pianet N, and Hohner Clavinet D6 — computed rather than sampled. There are no samples anywhere in this project: every note is a cantilever beam excited by a hammer or a sticky pad and read by a transducer, modeled all the way down, so DIRT, WEAR, and SWAY actually change the physics instead of crossfading a different layer.
- Four full instrument models on one switch — Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Pianet, Clavinet — physically modeled, not multisampled
- DIRT, WEAR, SWAY, SYMPATHY, and HUM controls reach into the physical model itself: tine wear, pickup sway, sympathetic resonance, and mains hum
- Built-in FX section: drive, cabinet, wah with sensitivity, and a vocal-formant filter tuned for electric piano
- Tremolo with independent rate and depth, plus a dedicated pan-width control for stereo tremolo spread
- Tone stack with bass, treble, and an overall tone knob, plus amp compensation and output level staged separately
- Zero samples anywhere — every hammer strike, pluck, and pickup interaction is computed in real time
